I want to have a backup of a linux system which currently works ok (better to prevent than to cure :-))
my idea is to have a image of the working system somewhere and in case the hdd fails - restore it on another hdd right now I am playing with rsync, but is this the tool I need, or something like dd ? the goal is to have a image of the working system which can be restored on another hdd at anytime. thanks, petre -- 13:11:27 up 1 day, 4:22, 1 user, load average: 0.51, 0.41, 0.25 - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-newbie" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html Please read the FAQ at http://www.linux-learn.org/faqs
