(http://mrproject.codefactory.se/) which seems to be fairly solid and
apparently fairly usable (I don't use that kind of tool myslef, so I
don't really have any direct experience of what's good and what isn't).

There are RPMs around as well; it comes on the Red Hat 7.3 CD. It may
come with Debian, I don't know.
Debian Sid (unstable) includes mrproject and two related library packages. Woody (stable) lists only the mrproject package itself in the apt-cache database.
