The list has been active. so I suggest you check if you are subscribed.

General note: linux-newbie, like many mailing lists, notices when mail to subscribers starts bouncing, and it automatically unsubscribes such addresses. So if your e-mail service suffers a temporary disruption (not at all unlikely, on occasion), you may be unsubscribed without realizing it. Trying to resubscribe (majordomo will tell you if you are already subscribed) is more useful in these cases than sending test messages to the list.

If you think this is a bad thing, please don't complain to the list (or to me personally; I'm just the messenger here, not someone with a role in list management). If you feel you must complain, direct the complaints to owner-linux-newbie (the complaints will probably just be ignored, but at least they will be sent to someone with the ability to act on them).
