When I upgraded to RH8.0 I encounted a problem with copy and pasting
between to and from xterm.

I understand there are two clipboards, one for use by the mouse, and
the other the normal clipboard controlled from the keyboard. I can use
the mouse clipboard as a backup, but my main interest is in the
keyboard clipboard.

If I select text in xterm with the mouse and try to past it to another
xterm, it suceeds, but that text won't paste with the MMB into any
other app. However, text selected by mouse elsewhere (such as emacs),
does paste into xterm with the MMB.

In xterm, Ctl-Shft-HOME allows me to jump to beginning of a line, but
Ctl-Shft-<- does not select text; it does not do anything. I don't
know how to select text in xterm from the keyboard.

I assume that I can change keybindings in xterm so that it can be
controlled from the keyboard. I prefer the unix-emacs bindings to the
CUA-PC bindings. Is there a handy list of bindings so that my brain
does not have to remember what my fingers know?

While my preference is for keyboard control, given the above scenarios
there's no way at all form me to copy anything by any means from
xterm for pasting elsewhere.
