Uh, as far as Development Environments go, I use something called
cooledit... It has colorisation, handles indents and style perfectly... I
can't remember where I got it, but www.obsidian.co.za should be a good
starting point.... Paul Sheer is the guy who wrote it ( I think) so he
should be able to tell you where to get it (his address is on obsidian's
site)
As far as books go, I got C++ in 21 days... OK, so it's been way more than
21 days so far but the book really is brilliant... and everything in it
works with gcc or g++. There's no compiler specific stuff like most other
books.
