Aha! Mine did this, i bet you have Slackware 3.5... it's newer sendmail.cf
tries resolving domain names in email addresses, my fix was to copy the old
sendmail.cf file from slack3.3, you can have a copy if you want [mail me,
i won't clog this list up]
