I may be wrong, but the card that I mentioned before (which is defective
by design) has a chance to be a Realtek (name was similar, it may not be).
This card worked well with a completely w95/wNT net, but did not with
Novell. The reason is that w95/NT uses checksum and Novell does not. Win
net was aware of packet losses, and retries if any packet is lost. Novell
does not. If you copy a file from a station to another, it goes well, but
if you copy a file from server to a station, garbage is what you get. We
replaced the card and saved out net. If this card was running with win
boxes, I suggest you to change the card.
