Simon,
forget about multipe IP adress for the beginning. You do not need to have
multiple IPs to get virtual hosts, just a DNS entry for the new hosts name.
For example, assume that you have an entry like this:
<VirtualHost www.jimmo.com>
.....
here is the VirtualHost specific configuration
.....
</VirtualHost>
You then need a DNS entry for www.jimmo.com. Although you could specify an
IP address instead of a hostname, I feel it is better to use the hostname.
