Yesssss... It should be a GOOD idea writing down each and every
information you have about your hardware before going on. Then, read
(and even better, print out) every information about how Linux adresses
hardware...
and then (if your CD happens to be a good one) login, start dselect from
the command line (you don't need a script doing so). Take your time,
read help infos, try out different ways of sorting the packages (with
"o" and "O" key, they're not doing the same thing), take special care of
the "broken" ones, if any... Then, don't select too much packages. What
do you think you can do with all these development packages, if you're a
newbie ? How many Gigas do you have on your HD ? But then... Damn me, I
don't know why it shouldn't work !
