Hi,

Frustrating, isn't it...;)

I have a HP LaserJet 5L. Haven't used apsfilter much but once I got it
installed I can print with:
lpr the_file

So if I have a *.ps file I just do:
lpr the_file_name.ps

When you install apsfilter you can override an earlier installation you
did. That should not increase the number of printers in printcap I think.

It is also possible to print with the program 'a2ps', (ascii to ps),
either directly to printer or to file. It's in the aps directory, on my machine:
/usr/local/aps/bin/a2ps.

About 'gs' I know less than zero, haven't used it for printing.

Best Regards,
