I have a Cyrix686 P150, I think that just about anything will compile
and run just fine (everything has for me so far). There is an
opimization patch for Cyrix and I assume AMD  called set686, don't
remember where I got it but you should be able to find it. My
understanding is it utilizes some of the Cyrix features, makes things
run better, etc. I haven't noticed much difference really.
