I have a completely SCSI system HD, CDROM, IOMEGA Zip, and they all have
to have the SCSI bus number set on the device in one way or another.
There is room for 7 devices on the bus. Normally, one wants to put the HD
or HDs as the lowest numbers 0, 1,... Then the slower devices up to six.
Position 7(actually the 8th) is the controller itself. In my cases
the HD is set with a movable jumper, the CDROM and the Zip drive with
switches on the back. Every device _must_ have its own bus slot. Also,
be sure the bus is terminated correctly at both ends.
The first device will be /dev/sda, the second /dev/sdb, etc., except that
CDROMs will be /dev/scd. The number is the partition number on the disk.
Good luck,
