You need to have the GNU development tools installed.
Read /usr/src/linux/Documentaion/Changes for details of which versions of
what programs are needed to compile that version of source code which you
have installed.
Make sure you install kernel source in the proper place this time, not
like you had it when you explaned your situation to another news-group.
I presume you received my mail and read it, it explaned why you were
having so many problems.
