Huum as it happens debian and redhat have the same sort of idea about boot
scripts, they use the same system.

Yes i have otherwise i would not have wrote what i did, as a matter of fact
i use redhat 4.2 which has an EMPTY /etc/login.defs as default.
I stand by what i wrote, you can define what you want as an enviroment.
