2 questions

I have two questions. First, has anyone ever used a HP DeskJet 340 with
Linux, and what printing filters did you use? Second, is there any way
to connect a Win95 box to a linux box as a client using either the
parallel port or a com port (not modem or ethernet)?  Thanks in advance.
