I'm getting ready to do some set-up here and have run into a question.
My Linux box will be put into a LAN with a couple of Windoze 95 boxes.
One of the 95 boxes has a modem. I don't. The LAN is an ethernet type
running Net-Bouy (not sure of exact name, but that's how it's
pronounced), and I'm going on the assumption that I'll be able to get
that part working. The question is - will I be able to utilize the
modem in the 95 box? What I would like to be able to do is connect to
the 95 box, activate the modem to dial out or detect if there is already
a connection, and then utilize that connection. Is this even possible?
I've dug through the howtos from sunsite - I've actually lost track of
which ones I've read - and I've seen references on something similar,
but all those references are assuming the opposite - that the modem is
in the Linux box. I would do that, but I don't think Dad would like
that very much. If what I'm trying is not possible, I'll try and get
Dad to let me put the modem into my box and run it that way. But I
would rather not start that argument if I don't have to.

Thanks
