It means what it says, you have a "LinuxNode Configuration Error", if you
have read the README in the node directory of the ax25-utils and have done
the part about logging then check your syslog the answer will be there.

For example i "dont" have a ax25-port called "1" but i defined hidden ports
as "1" in /etc/ax25/node.conf, now when i enter the node i get the error you
have, a line will be written to my system log like;
Sep 27 22:21:58 pa3gcu node[28346]: do_hiddenports: invalid port 1

You should find your answer there.

To test you changes you can enter the node from your own account on your own
machine, providing you use 'axparms -assoc [callsign] [username]'

'man node'
'man node.conf'
'man axparms'
