I've installed RH 5.1 on my machine, i've gotten KDE and
networking up and running as well. Now, i only have one problem...
everytime i try to run './configure' it goes on it's merry way until it
needs to check for X. this is what i get:
'checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please
check your installation and ass the correct paths!'
I'm trying to install kpackage, kirc, kicq and ksamba. I can't
actually say if that would hold for all X based programs, but i assume
since these programs can't find the includes, then others wouldn't be
able either. I'd read somewhere that adding the '/usr/X11R6/lib' above
the /usr/i486-blahblahblah in the ld.so.conf file and then running
ldconfig would solve that problem.... but it hasn't for me. Any help
would be much appreciated!
