According to Pirulo Gomez: While burning my CPU. > > I'm usig the kernel 2.0.35 whith pactical all fetures for networking > compiled and when start up the system do...modprob: can't locate module > net-pf-4..and make the same stuff whith -5...what is net-pf-4 and 5? Quite possably you are new to our newbie list and missed my last 10 mails (was it so many) on this subject. One is the appeletalk module and the other is ipx, now to stop those messages just add 2 lines to your /etc/conf.modules or /etc/modules.conf (install distribuiton dependant) like; alias net-pf-4 off alias net-pf-5 off If all else fails read the Module-HOWTO.gz in your /usr/doc/HOWTO or /usr/doc/howto directory, once again thats install distribution dependant. If you dont have any HOWTO's installed take a look at; http://sunsite.unc.edu/LDP/HOWTO/Module-HOWTO.html BTW: read the Kerneld howto as well its mentioned there too. > > ______________________________________________________ > Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com > -- Regards Richard.
