Hello,

Is it possible for me to block out people who try to finger me? I
already did a 'man fingerd' and I know I have to play around with
/etc/inetd.conf, but that's only if I'm root right (since normal users
don't have the priveleges to write to /etc/inetd.conf)? I once read
somewhere that if I created a .fingerd file in my home directory I'd be
able to do the same thing. Is this true? And if so, how do I go about
doing this?

I'm using both RedHat 5.0 (with root access) and SunOS 5.6 (no root
access).

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
- Harold.
