Hello everybody!
I'm hoping someone might be able to shed a little light on a couple of
subjects. I'm trying to set up a Linux box that
can act as a dial in for my company. We want to be able to dial in to
the Linux box so people can work at home just as they would here.
I'm dying to prove that I can do this just so I can thumb my nose at the
NT guys.
My questions are these:
How do I get my Linux box recognized by NT Server?
All the HOW-TO's I"ve seen talk about dialing in to the NT server. My
box is on the LAN.
Are there NetBEUI protocols available?
We switch protocols a lot on our network (for security really) but the
print server is constant. I want to be able to give people the ability
to print their documents here from home.
If the above is just me wishfully thinking, then how do I set up a dial
in just for internet access?
I've got this box set up as our webserver, ftp server, and part time
mailserver (if another one fails).
My System:
486dx4/100
crappy but working video card
US robotics sportster 28.8 modem. (only one modem now, but if this
works I might install Sportster modems)
Thanks in advance.
