I think the latest version of partition magic includes a program called
lxresize which will let you resize an ext2 partition.  The idea seems to
be that you delete partions 1 and 2, create a big partition, run lxresize
and it all works nicely.  You have to get a registered version of
Partition Magic from somewhere, and I'm not sure I'd trust it with
anything important anyway...
