UMAX 610S Scanner

I have a UMAX 610S scanner. Its a SCSI scanner and will work in Mac and
windows so I have a feeling that its not that software dependent. It came
with a cheezy little scsi card. What I would like to know is if anyone has
been able to get it to work in Linux? Umax doesnt support it and Mentalix
(make unix drivers for Umax) only support the more expensive models. So if
anyone has had any luck please drop me a line
