Aladdin chipset

Dear Linux users,

I am planning to buy a mohter board for AMD K6-2 300MHz (or more).
I saw a nice and cheap one recently but it has the Aladdin V chipset and
I heard rumors from some Linux users around me that this chipset may
cause some problems with (?some distributions of) Linux.
Anyone has more precise info. about this rumor?
