Hi..

I ve read the docs on how to receive incoming calls into my Linux box( just
want to be reassured ).
Seems that I can set up Uugetty, mingetty or mgetty to do that.
So I went downloadin following mgetty package: mgetty-1.1.9-4.i386.rpm
and did an rpm -ivh of it. But it gave erroe: "/bin/ksh is needed by
mgetty-1.1.9-4.
I) So here 's my first question: I know "ksh" is some kind of shell. But
how to get it?? What package to I need to download in order to get it??

II) Say I dont install mgetty. I guess that 's not a problem considering
the fact that I have a /sbin/mingetty file on my linux box. which means
that I can use mingetty instead of mgetty right???

II) I ve read that I would have to add in /etc/innitab a line like :"
S1:234:respawn:/sbin/uugetty ttyS3 F38400 vt 100"..

So, in my case (because I have mingetty), it should be:
S1:234:respawn:/sbin/mingetty ttyS3 F38400 vt 100"..
Is that right????

III) Someone who had mgetty had somethin like:
m1:3:respawn:/usr/sbin/mgetty -D -x2 /dev/ttyS3
.....
The -D -x2 seemed to be important, but should I use them only if i was
usin mgetty, or can I have somethin like:
m1:3:respawn:/usr/sbin/mingetty -D -x2 /dev/ttyS3

IV) A last one:
When someone ask me to compile mgetty or mingetty to work on my machine,
I guess that just mean to install the packages, exple rpm -ivh
mgetty-1.1.9-4.i386.rpm.
I was a bit confused, cause I was serching everywhere during the
recompilation of my kernel if there's an option for that..
??

Thamks for time and consideration
