Sorry about another try at this question. I received a little help, but my
central question remains unaswered.
I'm running Linux 5.1, and I automatically mount when I boot a partition
that is formatted HPFS. I can naviate that partition from Linux, and I
can copy files from it to Linux, but I really need to copy files from
Linux to it.
When I try to create directories or add files, I get an error message to the
effect that the partition is read only. The permissions on it are:
rwxr-xr-x . If I try to run (as root) chmod on that partition, I get the
same error, the object is read only.
Anm I barking up the wrong tree? If this drive were partitioned FAT, would
it become accessible? Or, is there some way to make the drive writable?
it become accessible? Or, is there some way to make the drive writable?
