While running KDE or X I notice that several applications cannot "Allocate sufficient color maps". For example if I load GIMP on a gray background it work, but if I load GIMP when I have a picture in the background I get a "Cannot Allocate Sufficient Color Maps" error message and the program does not load. While running Xterm it's also not uncommon to receive the message "Cannot allocate color map entry for XXX" where XXX is a color name. How do I fix this problem?
