If your HD is /dev/hda, /dev/hda1 refers to the primary partition and
/dev/hda2 refers to the whole extended partition. The logical partitions are
/dev/hda5, /dev/hda6 and /dev/hda7. You should mount these devices to access
those partitions.

An explanation to this numbering is (I think) reserving first four to the
four partitions a HD can have. Logical partitions start from 5.
