Thank you all for the answers to my kernel panic question. Actually, I
found out from a friend that although I was trying to boot off the second
partition on my first (only) hard disk, because it's an extended partition,
I have to specify it (in loadlin) as /dev/hda5, instead of /dev/hda2, to
get it to boot correctly. Anyway, it seems so far to be working okay,
although it'll be a while before I become proficient enough to do anything
worthwhile with it.

Acutally...you'd be surprised. Win98 has crashed quite a bit more often in
the past few weeks than when I first installed it :)
