Dear All

Many thanks for the previous replies. I now have a 2.0.35 kernel
compiled and running (only to find 2.0.36 has just been released ;-))

Can you tell any one tell me where I find info on auto loading of
modules at boot time. Specifically, I have two SCSI cards, one with the
main HD (including the Linux partition) connected and the other with the
CD, tape streamer, 2nd HD connected.
When I originally ran setup I had difficulty getting it to accept both
cards in the right order such that linux found the boot partition.
Subsequently I have compiled the first card into the kernel and wish to
load the second automatically, as module, at boot time.

Is it possible to auto mount the CD??

If I use kerneld, would this enable me to, say, issue a cd /mnt/cdrom
and have kerneld load the scsi card module and any others necessary
automatically?

Many thanks

Paul
