Hello This is my first newbie question but big one. At the company (in Belgium) where I work for as a programmer we have a small problem. We are searching for a program (preferably under Linux) that can do the following with an easy user interface and costs less than 11,000 US Dollar. Controlling the (look below) of Unix Systems from Bull and HP, Linux , Windows NT and BULL GCOS systems: planning starting, stopping, surveying programs max. running time en starting time of a program relations between programs reporting errors (system errors) in programs to a beeper. Securing: signaling rootlogin, break-in attempts, user switches Performance: collecting information of the CPU load Hardware errors: And mirroring failure under Unix, FTP failure under GCOS/UNIX, printer errors (out of paper, off-line) BULL GCOS: EXTRA and IMPORTANT executing operators commando's following and responding tot messages from IOF sessions All error messages should be logged and certain errors should be reported to a certain person, the stand-by (4 people who work in weekly shifts each has it's own beeper), as a specific beeper message. Such a program exist under Windows NT but costs at least 11,000 US Dollar, we are using an old dos version but it isn't Y2K proof. More specific information is available but is 15 pages. Thanks in advance Gry If possible reply to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (email at work) I apologize for the grammar mistakes and typos.
