Hello,
I had been using SCO and AIX in character mode for a few years at work. Now
I am trying to get my _own_ Linux box working at home but I know nothing
about X.
I installed Metro Link's X bundled with Red Hat 5.0. When I launch the
Xmetro everything I get is a gray desktop with an X-shaped mouse cursor.
What should I do to invoke programs from here like xterm or the clock?
Unfortunately, HOWTO mentions only XFree86 and Xmetro does not recognize
the .xinitrc files.
