zip drives are seen as a scsi disk. they use the same devices /dev/sda   
/dev/sdb /dev/sdc  (in fact the first of these wich is free when you load   
the ppa module).
zip drives are also partitionned (usually only partition 4 is used for   
MACINTOSH compatibility) so you would for example use
mount /dev/sda4 /mnt/zip to mount your disk....
