My first day with fetchmail produced mail I could read in pine. My second
day the downloaded mail disappeared.
I believe the fetchmail went ok:
"reading message x or y (z bytes). . .flushed"
My fetchmail config file has:
poll <my pop server> proto POP3
user <myusername> password "<mypassword>" is brownh here
When I run pine, "INBOX" is empty except for some messages I left in it from
the day before.
brownh is my ISP account name, but I'm running as root here. However, I try
# su brownh
shell-init: could not get current directory:
I have a brownh user, in brownh group, a /home/brownh directory. Under
root is a /root/mail directory with rw permission for user, but no Inbox.
