I was here a few months ago and got my linux server running. After I got it
running I didn't want to mess with it anymore, but now I need to get more
done and I need some help with e-mail. I'm pretty sure I'm running sendmail
and I have e-mail working. However, I have two problems. The first is that
people send e-mail and if someone replies to that mail it won't find the
server. The domain is fairway.org The server's name is adam.fairway.org
It receives mail at the fairway.org address fine, but won't get it if sent
to adam.fairway.org (which is where reply sends it). So how do I change the
name that comes up when people hit reply or change the server so it will
receive mail for adam.fairway.org? My second question is how do I get smtp
and pop3 working with the server. Do I need additional software for that?
If so what? If not, what do I need to do.

Just as background info on the server, it is running as an IP Masquerade
machine for my cooperative houses' network. I am a college student and only
have a working knowledge of computer so I don't understand a lot of
technical jargon. Please explain in simple terms. I'm studying to be a
civil engineer.

Later and God Bless
Ben
