This is my suspicion after digging around at some more docs etc.
However, I have not been on my Linux box for a couple of days. Can you
help me with what I should be looking for in /etc/fstab? I have a
pretty much raw (ie not fiddled with) install of RH5 on a Cyrix
P200MX/64MB/4.3GB Seagate/ATI 3D RageII+ 4MB.

Please refer to my additional post yesterday regarding shutdown etc.

PS: My limited experience of using *nix (on HP machines) has shown me
that "shutdown" is probably the least used of all commands. We would
turn the machines off once a year - at Christmas. Maybe this is where
M$ has the edge - it does that all for you. Only it happens when you
least expect it! ;-^)
