Ooops..sorry to tell you this but Winmodems don't work at all under Linux,
and according to everyone I've talked to, probibly never will.
I know this becuase I have a USR Winmodem and I have tryed to get it working
ever which way, and none work.
The best advice I can give it to get a new modem....something that isn't PnP
and isn't a Winmodem.
