Hi:

I haven't done an upgrade before but I installed RH 5.2 from a networked
machine running NT the other day with no problems noted :-)

During the upgrade you will be asked what kind of install you want to
do..you choose "Hard drive" and insert your supplemental disk. A little
while later it will ask you where the RedHat directory is located - If
you downloaded 5.2 to your C:\ drive put "/dev/hda1" tell it the RedHat
directory is on /dev/hda1 and it will search. Just remember to think in
Linux..if it is on D:\ in DOS enter /dev/hda2, first partition on a
second hard drive enter /dev/hdb1, etc. Also, you don't want to type
"RedHat" when you are telling it where it is, you want to point it to
the directory where it is located and let Linux seach. I believe that
it is case sensitive so make sure the directory is called
"RedHat"...don't look at it in DOS since DOS isn't case sensitive.

Good Luck,
Scott
