uninstall RH 1.0

I'm  an absolute newbie on the list and with Linux. I started  learning by 
installing RH 1.0 in a separate partition in a 586 machine and booting w/ 
LILO. In a few weeks, I'm going to get RH 5.2 and possibly Debian. 

I'd just like to be sure if I have to uninstall RH 1.0 or I can just install
RH 5.2 or Debian over RH 1.0. And if there's anything I should watch for.
