Actually, the lilo readme says that _each_ logical partition contains a
partition table, which jibes with the partition mini-HOWTO:
The number of logical partitions is not limited: Each logical
partition contains a pointer to the next logical partition, so
you can have a potentially unlimited chain of partition entries.
Besides all these docs, I personally have more than 4 logical partitions on
my machine right now, so I can assure you the limit is neither 3 nor 4.
