Hi!
I'm on the way of moving all jobs I do in dos/win to Linux. And I wish
to let my mail handled by Linux. First step: getting the ppp connection
with the server (dial-ul). All seems to work. But after the id stuff
the link dies. The next lines are the last lines from
/var/log/messages:

Dec 12 19:39:58 redbull pppd[9068]: Serial connection established.
Dec 12 19:39:59 redbull pppd[9068]: Using interface ppp0
Dec 12 19:40:00 redbull pppd[9068]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS1
Dec 12 19:40:04 redbull pppd[9068]: Serial line is looped back.
Dec 12 19:40:05 redbull pppd[9068]: Connection terminated.
Dec 12 19:40:50 redbull pppd[9068]: disconnect script failed
Dec 12 19:40:50 redbull pppd[9068]: Exit.
Dec 12 19:41:26 redbull kernel: PPP: ppp line discipline successfully
unregistered

What does that fourth line means 'serial line is looped back'. And why
the 'disconect script failed'?
Should I quote the files from /etc/ppp? I thought I set them Ok.
I run RedHat 4.2 with kernel 2.0.30, pppd 2.2.0. The scripts were made
after according to the examples in PPP-HOWTO.

        TIA,
        Raider
