Fsck checks how many times the partition being mounted has been mounted, and if the number is over the limit (I do not know what the magic number here is....) it does a thorough check of the harddrive for corruptions. This really isn't an error, it is a saftey mechanism for linux to make sure that the partitions do not have bad blocks or other corruptions on them.
