Unless you are paying for a 24 hour direct connect line your ISP might be
diconnecting you for idle time.

Don't know your situation, but if you have a dedicated line and pay for
this servcice then you should make fast arraingments with the new ISP, If
you are paying the original ISP the extra fees, then they should be made to
supply those and arrainge with the temp ISP to provide that service.  If
the temp ISP isn't going to be arround for long, then I'd try to work
through your primary ISP and let them do the dealing with the temp.

If on the other hand you have only a standard 24 and 7 access dialin line,
then you should disconnect when you aren't using the service and let
someone else use the line.

If you are entitled to it, then your ISPs hands aren't tied.  Money
exchanged hands betwen you and them.  Money exchanged hands between them
and the temp ISP.  You have a contract and should demand that you get what
you pay for.  Just be careful that what you pay for is what you think. <grin>
