I have a series of questions to ask

1. how does one go about using Loadlin, is the howto the definitive
resource?
2. i have a spoilt drive, when Linux boots its fscks it everytime. Is
there a way to let Linux ignore the drive?.
3. if i remove a drive and have to change my cd from hdd to hdc what
other changes do i have to make?. /etc/fstab alone ?
4. is it better to install another drive to replace, or is 2 or 3 a
better way to shut Linux up.

Hi!
Re your 2nd and 3rd question: I think it is enough to change /etc/fstab and of course
any graphical front end for mounting you might be using.
Re your 4th question: That of course depends on wether you need that drive for Linux
or another OS. I wouldnt want to keep a buggy drive, whats the use?
