Yup, this one drove me nuts as well till I got it figured out. Here is how I
got it to work:
First, unzip the distribution. Then put the libraries that come with rvplayer
in some common location (I put them in /usr/local/lib/rvplayer). Then, in your
.profile file (or in one of the system wide start-up scripts for universal
access), put in something like this:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/local/lib/rvplayer
Then put the rvplayer executable in someplace like /usr/local/bin. Now when
you execute it, it will find the libs it needs to play.
