I/O error

Hi,

I've installed a new CD-ROM drive and when I try to mount a data cdrom I
get:

 bash# mount /dev/sr9 /mnt
    /dev/sr9: I/O error
    mount: block device /dev/sr9 is write protected, mounting read-only
    /dev/sr9: I/O error
     mount: you must specify the filesystem type

I use SCSI emulation.
Can someone help me out here?
