I screwed up and was not in the directory I thought I was when I "chmod -R
755 *". I should have verified my pwd before doing such a drastic change.

So now I need to figure out what all of the permissions should be and I
guess fix it all by hand. Can anyone with a relatively fresh Slackware
install make a listing of all of the permissions in your /usr directory?

I was trying to re-install X and noticed everything was only root
accessible, the reason for attempting that command.

I really need to invest in some backup hardware......
