Sure can, but if anyone sends an email to root@yourmachine it will
(re)create that file, also if you delete that file, it will delete any
mail that is contained in there, might want to see what is in there first.
Also any mail files in your ~ directory should (could) be removed, make
sure you do a backup and know how to restore, just in case.
