X freeze

Hi,

I've a problem with X. The X server freezes and i need to power-off the
computer since i cannot use the mouse or the keyboard after the freeze...
This problem appears with kernel 2.0.x and 2.1.x and with all the window
manager (kde, fvwm95...).
I work in 1280x1024 in 16bpp. My video card is an xpert@work 8Mb AGP.
It seems that only the xpert@work 2Mb PCI is supported by XFree86.
Could it be the problem?
