Ladies and Gentelmen,
I am using RedHat 5.1 kernel 2.0.35-2 in a distribution made by Mandrake
company (it has the KDE allready installed).
I used for a while Slackware and I know it is a difference.The loadlin
of Slackware is different. I tried both loadlin with no effect.
I can not make hda3 bootable because WIN95 don't start. It gives the
message "partition table altered" and remains locked.
On the boot floppy there are:
vmlinuz-2.0.35
folder BOOT containing boot.b , map
folder DEV fd0 , hda3
folder ETC lilo.conf
The lines in lilo.conf are:
boot=/dev/fd0
image=/vmlinuz-2.0.35
label=linux
root=/dev/hda3
I red also the manual for loadlin and it seems to be old (april 1996).
May be loadlin is not to be used with new kernels.
I noticed another message "no image found for vmlinuz" just before
"module dependencies not found".
Where can I found the messages from boot time ? The text is scrolling
too fast.
Thanks,
